What Is IFB Washing Machine Door Lock Error?

In IFB front-load washing machines, a door lock error occurs when the machine fails to lock or unlock the door properly during a cycle. It usually shows codes like dLE, dL, or DOOR on the display panel.

This error prevents the wash cycle from starting or resuming.

Symptoms of Door Lock Error

• Washing machine doesn’t start after closing the door

• “DOOR” or “dLE” error flashes on the screen

• You hear a clicking sound but the door doesn’t lock

• The machine turns on but no water enters

• Door remains locked after wash is completed

Causes of Door Lock Error in IFB Washing Machines

1. Faulty Door Lock Assembly

The most common reason. The lock mechanism or sensor inside the door switch may be damaged or burnt.

2. Loose or Broken Door Latch

If the latch doesn’t align properly or is physically damaged, the machine won’t detect the door as closed.

3. Wiring Issues to Lock Mechanism

Loose connections or broken wires between the PCB and the lock assembly can cause this error.
